Aerial Yoga merges traditional yoga with aerial arts. This type of Yoga uses a fabric hammock as a tool to help students achieve the traditional Yoga positions.

Aerial yoga is open to any age group, body type, or body size. We focus on strength, flexibility and fun.

In our classes we work with gravity to relax and realign the body, center the mind and uplift the spirit.

Changing the way you see things can change everything, and sometimes it’s just a matter of literally turning things upside-down!!

Aerial Yoga Level 1

Prerequisites: None – Great for beginners!

This class takes influence from traditional Yoga poses and Aerial Arts. This class is a complete body workout and stretch designed to help release the kinks from the spine, alleviate muscle tension, tone and elongate your muscles, mobilize and hydrate compressed joints and extend your flexibility. This class is suitable both for beginners and advanced practitioners. It will align your body and mind from ground to sky!

Aerial Yoga Level 2

Prerequisites: Aerial Yoga Level 1

This class is best suited for those who have a previous experience to Aerial Yoga or have attended our Aerial Yoga Level 1 classes and for those who feel confident in an Aerial hammock and willing to push beyond their comfort zones! Expect to be challenged to build strength and increase flexibility.

Aerial Yoga Level 3

Prerequisites: Αerial Yoga level 2

This class is for those who have completed at least 5 Aerial Yoga Level 2 classes and are able to invert in the air
When going upside down feels like a regular day to you and you know your favorite aerial poses with your eyes closed, then Aerial Yoga level 3 is for you! Come ready to challenge your flexibility, strength, sequencing, transitions and tricks to the maximum.

Aerial Yoga Strength & Balance

Prerequisites: Αerial Yoga level 1 & 2

This class is best suited for those who have a previous experience to Aerial Yoga or have attended our Aerial Yoga Level 1 & 2 classes.
Aerial Yoga Strength & Balance class is meant to boost your internal fire and help you to get strong and find balance within the body and mind while balancing in the hammock! This class is sure to stir up your hormones, tone your muscles and align both body and mind!

Aerial Yoga Flow

Prerequisites: Αerial Yoga level 1

This class is for those who have completed at least 5 Aerial Yoga Level 1 classes and Yoga Flow & Alignment classes.
Come take this aerial yoga class to find a flow with your hammock, breath, body and mind. Only you and your hammock! Down, up, in and out the hammock. Follow the flow with us!!!

 

Some important things you need to remember in performing aerial yoga:

• Wear comfortable clothing that will allow range of movement.

• Wearing a shirt that covers your underarms completely is highly recommended when attending your first couple of classes.

• For men, we recommend you wear compression shorts with shorts or sweatpants over top.

• Footwear for the class should be barefoot.

• Remove all jewelry before class.

• Observe good personal hygiene and wear deodorant in consideration for the next person using the hammock.

• Please do not use hand lotion before class.

• Come at least 10 minutes early so we can get your hammock set to the right height.

Cautions:

You may want to avoid an aerial class if you:

• are pregnant;

• have high or very low blood pressure;

• suffer from vertigo;

• had recent eye surgery or have glaucoma;

• have heart disease;

• have recent head injury;

• carpal tunnel syndrome;

• have sinusitis.
